MC & Beatmaker REDCHILD attaches great importance to versatility and professionalism. Born in 1991 in post-reunification Berlin, he discovered his passion for music early on and decided to become a freelance artist. In 1996, his mother decided to move to Hamburg because of a job offer, where REDCHILD began to develop his skills, which he largely taught himself. During his school days he often took part in band tours (Brixtonboogie Bright Lights Tour 2010) and opened concerts for big rap acts like Busta Rhymes or MOP, thereby developing his skills on the microphone and his understanding of event structures. During this time, REDCHILD honed his skills by playing Jams, Cyphers, Battles,

His non-traditional musicianship, charismatic demeanor in front of audiences and technical know-how have made him a respected artist at some of the biggest international hip-hop events and one of the most sought-after battle hosts in Europe (Juste Debout, Bc One, Battle Of the year). Originally starting out as a rapper, he developed early on the urge to become an all-rounder, combining his strong improvisational skills (freestyle) on the microphone and on instruments with technical versatility (BA Audio Production) and organizational skills. He amazes his audience with unique spontaneous creations, even with entire songs, in which he implements the audience’s input and mixes hip-hop, jazz, etc. (source)
