Deon’te Goodman

A New York City based actor, Deon’te Goodman has a wide range of experience performing musical theatre, rock, pop, gospel/R&B, and Classical/Opera. He has most recently been seen in Freedom Riders: The Civil Rights Musical (NYMF 2017; dir. Whitney White), Caroline, or Change (Cape Fear Regional Theatre), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Florida Repertory Theatre; dir. Jason Parrish), Toxic Avenger (Farmers Alley Theatre), and the staged reading of The Prince of Egypt (dir. Scott Schwartz). He has held principle and ensemble roles in many operatic productions, most notably in Philip Glass’ Galileo Galilei, Mozart’s Le Nozze de Figaro, and Donizetti’s La fille du regiment.

Deon’te has also had the privilege of working with and performing for notable people, some of which include Stephen Schwartz, Philip Glass, and Dominick Amendum.

Deon’te holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Voice Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he studied under Dr. Carla LeFevre. (source)
