DeAundre’ Woods was born and raised in Schriever, Louisiana where he discovered his love for music and performance coming up in the church. Fascinated with the idea of bringing people joy through song, he went on to study classical music at Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Shortly after graduating, Dre’ made his Broadway National Tour debut in Motown: The Musical performing in the ensemble and understudying the lead roles of Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson. In 2018, Woods joined the ‘And Peggy’ company of Hamilton where he had the opportunity to perform in Puerto Rico with Lin-Manuel Miranda before the company began performances in San Fransisco. Other roles include: Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd, Steven Kodaly in She Loves Me, and Seaweed in Hairspray. (source)
