Raised on gospel, soul and rock, Charles has studied classical singing, jazz improvisation and musical theater, and also plays saxophone, drums, piano, guitar and bass. He is vocally and musically broad. Top stars such as Mary J. Blige, Stefan Raab, Shaggy, Toto and Moses Pelham, who described him as “Germany’s best singer”, have already benefited from his incredible diversity. His musical background and experience enabled him to release a number of successful albums.
As a member of Sony’s pop project “The Free”, Charles also brought five singles into the German charts. His hit “Loveletter from space” even climbed into the top 5 of the Scandinavian charts. As a studio singer, he has also taken part in many successful TV commercials.
The singer and vocal coach has also managed to combine music and his second passion, sport, through a progressive and motivating concept. His progressive Voxxbody ® program combines professional vocal coaching and modern fitness exercises for young and old. As a longstanding lecturer at the Mannheim Pop Academy, Charles has trained stars such as Alice Merton and Joris.
