Desmond Sean Ellington was a standby for Hamilton from 2017-2023. He covered Aaron Burr, George Washington, Hercules Mulligan, and James Madison and performed in multiple touring companies.
Desmond made his Broadway debut in Hell’s Kitchen after starting with the production down at The Public.
He has extensive experience performing regionally including at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Other stage credits: Black Nativity (Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company); King: The Opera (Theatrical Outfit); MLK: A Monumental Life; Zuri Craig’s The Perfect Pastor. Desmond has been a background vocalist for such renowned gospel/R&B recording artists as Micah Stampley, Vashawn Mitchell, Syleena Johnson and Angie Stone. He is also working in the voiceover industry, doing VO for the audiobook When He Looked at Me.
