Carvens Lissaint is a Haitian American International award winning poet, actor, singer and playwright, raised in Harlem, NY. He has graced stages across the United States, United Kingdom and The Caribbean. Featured on TEDYouth, Sundance Film Festival, The United States Green Build Council in Arizona, the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, on Broadway at The New Amsterdam Theater & the Off Broadway Hip Hop Theater Festival, debuting his one man show “Walk” at the Ohio Theater. He was seen in the film “Keep Pushing” on CBS, featured as a part of the African American Short Films segment. He has also been on the second, third, & fifth seasons of the hit television series “Verses and Flow” on TVOne. Lissaint was apart of the touring cast of “Words Become Flesh” a play written and directed by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, and has opened for the likes of John Leguzizamo, Elle Varner, Common, Luke James and Jill Scott. Carvens was most recently seen at The Public Theater in the #BARS Mixtape Medley VOL 2, produced and curated by Rafael Casal of Def Poetry and Daveed Diggs of Hamilton The Musical. He is a graduate of The American Academy For Dramatic Arts and St. John’s University with degrees in Acting and Dramatic Arts For Film & Television. He holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School Of The Arts Graduate Acting Program. He gives all his glory to God. (source)
