ASHLEY DE LA ROSA was born in Washington Heights, New York. She began her career at the age of four doing voice over work on Nickelodeon’s Dora The Explorer. She moved to Florida with her family and began taking voice lessons at age six. Throughout high school, Ashley balanced her love of performing with her love of academics and during her senior year was fortunate enough to make it to the top 12 of NBC’s The Voice, while also graduating third in her class. Although she was always a strong lover of the arts, it was not until Ashley was 21 years old that she decided to pursue theater professionally.
Ashley began her professional theater career with the 20th Anniversary National Tour of RENT, then continued on to the National Tour of Beautiful The Carole King Musical. She made her broadway debut with Mean Girls The Musical and less than a year later became part of the broadway closing company of Beautiful The Carole King Musical! She is currently residing in San Francisco playing Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds in Hamilton: An American Musical.
